A Whistle-stop visit to the Swanage Railway
The "South Coast Explorer" with NENTA Rail Tours
Saturday August 11th 2007

An Early Start
At 6am on August 11th the "South Coast Explorer" topped and tailed by class 47's rolled into Dereham.

After raising to the sound of my alarm at 4.50am
it was to be 21 hours before I was to see my bed again.
A bit of a trek to say the least with just a couple of hours spent at our destination.
But I have to say the Swanage Railway and the natural beauty of the Purbeck Hills has left a me with the desire
to return to the area sometime in the future.
